A long time since I have been here.

Just wanted to say.......

.....we managed to win the Novice test in DA this month :-D
The judge was very generous and the first movements were not so good but overall it was a pleasing test and accurately ridden.

Training has been going ok, plodding along on our own. The canter has improved hugely, it can quite often be better than the trot now.
We have begun working towards the elementary tests but need to improve the medium trot, and also need to find a way to produce some kind of canter/walk transition. Walk/canter is fine but downwards we struggle.

He certainly isn't the horse he was a year or more ago. He is such fun and I hope he has many years ahead of him :crossfingers:

videoed my ride the other day to help me sort out any issues
Need to start getting more confident with the sitting trot and braver with the lateral work.
Loads to work on but we are in no hurry

He just looks so different Katy - so much softer and more relaxed - tail swinging nicely - the walk to canter tranny just before you disappeared off to the right was  I could 'feel' him coming up in front - lovely
