Re: abscesses

How weird, ME. If you hadn't said there had been no changes then I'd have been sure that you had altered his diet or that he'd moved to a new pasture. It's very pronounced. If they all have it then did they find something different to munch on in the field? Something that came into season...acorns o...

Re: Sunday Somethings

Mostly Macron near us, but a lot of the older village folk refused to vote at all.

Re: Wednesday witterings

:rain: AGAIN! I've still got a hectare of pruning to do before the end of March but I refuse to go out there in the rain. When you pull out the old wood the water runs down the sleeves of your raincoat and is extremely unpleasant!

Re: Yellow Horse and Little White Horse

Shame the weather is scuppering your plans to do more with them, Sheila. It's frustrating when you want to get on a roll with it but can't do much. The forecast is looking better for Friday so you might get a chance to do something then. Interesting reading about Jennie's perceptions of S and L.

Re: To vaccinate, or not?

Nope, I don't get mine done. They never go anywhere and they never come into contact with other horses. Why put them through the stress (mind and body)?

Re: The new girl

She certainly is broad of beam -she is absolutely huge! Looking great, the pair of you. Sounds like you're doing a good job nipping the hack picnics in the bud

Re: Hello!

Hi Susie and a huge welcome to AMOH

I have a bit of a horse-crush on Toby the TB. What a beautiful colour of bay -he is like a big shiny conker. Looks extremely chilled too, although I bet that's not always the case!

Re: Hi!

Hello Nic! Absolutely lovely to have you on here. I have seen pictures of you with Big G -you look like a great partnership. I have also had the pleasure of riding His Royal Greyness and he is such a fun mixture of enthusiam and sense!

Re: Total Contact Saddle

I was ready to jump in and say I wasn't keen on it until I read Ros's brilliant review and that really swayed me. Looks like something that would be a lovely thing to use for dressage and gymnastic training -you'd feel so close to the horse. The position of the stirrups might be an issue though. I d...

Re: Saturday Stuff

Well we seem to have got away with the bad weather. I mean, it's not pleasant and the wind is gusting up to 80kph but it aint no hurricane. I'm a bit worried that the electric fence will end up in tatters, but it's holding up ok for now. What's everyone up to today? I'm cleaning the house and I've g...
